Back to my roots!

I knew that the brunette thing was just a phase and that it wouldn’t last long. So here I am, back to my beloved blonde style! No matter what I do to my hair I always return to my trademark color. And I just had to cut it short. In this warm and humid weather the last thing I need is to blow dry and use the flat iron. It now takes me about 5 minutes to style my hair and another 2 minutes to wash it (not in that order!).

So with that out of the way, I have to say that I finally understood why I had lost my blogging mojo ( and please don’t laugh): I didn’t like my hair! As stupid as it may sound, I came to realize that I wasn’t liking my style (before returning to blonde that is) and that de-motivated me to do any outfit posts. I knew something was not quite right, but I didn’t know what it was. And I’m so glad I found it. They say that “when a woman cuts her hair she is about to change her life”. Who knows? Maybe that’s true…

I had to make a great come back so I pulled out the big guns: my brother! I hate the stupid “wall pictures” and I don’t intend to do them anymore. I choose quality over quantity. Within that context I deleted some of my latest posts, because I didn’t think they were consistent to the blog’s style or because I just didn’t like the way I looked.

(Face: Kryolan Micro foundation, Elf HD powder, Eyes: Sleek storm palette, Mac fluid eyeliner, NYX No105 false lashes, Kryolan No126 eyebrow pencil, Kiko lengthening mascara, Cheeks: Elf cool bronzer, Lips: Mac creme de nude)

(Dress: Mango, Shoes: Zara)

I also changed my blog layout and I feel this one looks so much better. What do you think?

Last but not least, I am using the Disqus comments platform for some time now, and it makes it easier for my followers to leave a comment and for me to reply. Because to be honest, I hated not replying to your lovely comments my darlings, but without disqus it was such a pain to do it!

Hope you like my new looks and please stay tuned because tomorrow there will be a second post about something very very important!!!

The hostess with the mostess!

Last night we had a dinner party to celebrate my mum’s name day (well, she did, I just helped!) and I had to dress for the occasion. A more conservative and ladylike outfit was in order so I wore a figure hugging dress and a top with see-through sleeves underneath it (so as only the sleeves would show). And I also dug up another designer treasure from my closet, a pair of Sergio Rossi animal print pony-skin pumps. I love these shoes! And I noticed there is a very similar pair in (last year’s) Christian Louboutin collection… 😉

Top: unknown brand
Dress: Zara
Pumps: Sergio Rossi
Rings: bought locally

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturizer SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural

Lips: Kryolan lipshine circle

I had so much to eat last night and continued the feast today! Anyone want to share some left over apple pie, lemon pie and almond cake?!

Day 80 – @ Beauty show!

First of all I apologize for the delayed post today, but I was swamped! I went to “Beauty” show today, a show for beauty professionals here in Athens, something like IMATS only in a much smaller scale. Apart from Kryolan or China glaze and a few other well known brands, the rest are professional make up brands (some of them I don’t even know!). But it’s fun, there’s a lot to see and of course a lot to buy!!! I didn’t carry a lot of cash with me (it was the only way to restrain myself) because I only needed a few things. And here’s what I got:
3 China glaze nail polishes, one top coat and a Primer by Kryolan:

The China glaze glitter polish “Party hearty” (on the left) immediately caught my eye. It will be like having a Christmas tree on your fingers!!! LOL!

And here’s what I wore:

Knit cardigan: Zara
Button shirt: Zara
Leather skirt: Exté
Ankle boots: Casadei
Bag: Pinko

Face: Korres watermelon oil free tinted moisturizer SPF 30, Nivea perfect cover concealer, Mac mineralize skin finish natural
Eyes: Coastal Scents 26 color palette, Bourjois black eyeliner, Mac zoom lash mascara
Cheeks: Elf contouring blush and bronzing powder
Lips: Mac Jist mixed with Mac Ravishing, Mac Spice lip liner

Did you buy any cosmetics lately?
